Jessica Sanchez
Jessica Elizabeth Sanchez (* 4. August 1995 in Chula Vista, Kalifornien)[1] ist eine US-amerikanische Popsängerin aus San Diego, Kalifornien.
Sie kam ins Finale der Castingshow American Idol, elfte Staffel 2012, musste sich jedoch dem Gewinner Phillip Phillips geschlagen geben.

Die Tochter eines mexikanisch-stämmigen Amerikaners und einer philippinischen Einwandererin hat sich bei der elften Staffel der Castingshow American Idol 2012 beworben und ist aktuell unter den sieben Besten.[2][3]
Trotz ihres jugendlichen Alters ist sie kein Neuling. Erste Erfahrungen sammelte sie schon elfjährig als Kandidatin der ersten Staffel von America's Got Talent.[4](in Deutschland: Das Supertalent)
Im Oktober 2009 nahm Jessica Sanchez eine Coverversion von Rihannas "Don't Stop the Music" für iTunes zusammen mit dem kleinen Label Spin Move Records auf.[5] Eine zweite Download-Veröffentlichung folgte im Frühling 2010 auf der Webseite von Spin Move Records. Diesmal hatte sie Etta James' "I'd Rather Go Blind" interpretiert[6][7]
2010 war sie eine der 57 Sängerinnen in dem Gemeinschaftsvideo "We Are the World 25 for Haiti" zu Gunsten der Erdbebenopfer in Haiti [8]
